10. ACCRA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (AIT)

The Accra Institute of Technology (AIT) is a technology-driven private university, accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana.

AIT is ranked as one of the top private universities in Ghana by the Ghana Tertiary Awards. The university also received the Best Technology University in Ghana Award for a number of years. AIT is equally a leading research university in Ghana with over 250 enrolled on its PhD programs.

8. ALL NATIONS UNIVERSITY

All Nations University was founded by Rev. Dr. Samuel Donkor in October 2002.All Nations University is located in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The university is affiliated to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and in collaboration with SRM Institute of Science and Technology (India). On May 28, 2020, All Nations was granted a presidential charter by the President of Ghana.

7. WISCONSIN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

WIUC was founded in 1998 with full accreditation in 2000 by the National Accreditation Board (NAB). It was the first private university to run an MBA programme in Ghana.

 6. PRESBYTERIAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

The Presbyterian University College, Ghana is a partially private & public university with multi- campuses and its headquarters located at Abetifi-Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana.  It was established on 23 November 2003.

The university has five campuses at Abetifi-Kwahu, Akropong-Akuapem in the Eastern Region, Asante Akyem-Agogo in the Ashanti Region, the city campus at Tema in the Greater Accra Region and Kumasi Santasi Ashanti Region. Each of these campuses has its own set of faculties and other facilities.

5. PENTECOST UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

The Pentecost University is a private university located at Sowutuom in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. On May 22, 2003, J. A. Kufuor, the former President of Ghana, inaugurated PUC at the Sowutuom campus.

The main campus of Pentecost University is sited at Sowutuom, away from Accra. Sowutuom (which literally translates “hold your gun”) is within the western parts of Accra, a quiet and serene area off the Kwashieman-Ofankor highway.

4. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY

 It was incorporated, in June 1991 under the name, Central Bible College and was re-christened Central University College in 1998. In January 2016, the University College received the long-awaited Presidential Charter to become an autonomous and a fully-fledged university as Central University.

The stated aim of the university is to provide an “integrated and biblically-based tertiary education with particular reference to the needs of the African continent”. It is currently the biggest private university in Ghana.

 Central University has eight (8) faculties/schools and four campuses located at Miotso (permanent campus), Mataheko campus, Christ temple graduate school campus and Kumasi campus.

3. VALLEY VIEW UNIVERSITY

Valley View University was established in 1979.It is a private university with campuses located at Oyibi (Accra), Kumasi and Techiman (Sunyani) respectively in the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Bono East regions of Ghana.
