There are 15 public universities and 10 technical universities in Ghana. All of these universities offer several courses and have requirements students must meet known as the cutoff point to gain admission into the universities. This article will show all public universities in Ghana and the courses they offer.

The general admission requirement of universities in Ghana for SSSCE applicants is six passes (A-D) in all subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and Social Studies/Science; and three (3) electives which must be relevant to the area of specialization. WASSCE applicants must have six passes (A1-C6) in all subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and Social Studies/Science; and must possess a minimum of C6 in any three (3) elective subjects which must be relevant to the area of specialization. Mature applicants must be 25 years old, write an entrance exam, and pass a selection interview.
