SUNYANI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY COURSES AND CUTOFF POINTS 2024/2025

Sunyani Technical University (STU) requirements for admission into degree and HND programmes for SSSCE/WASSCE applicants are credit passes (A-D/A1-C6)) in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credit passes (A-D) in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study 

NABPTEX/CTVET certificate II holders must have Passes in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects (English, Mathematics and Integrated Science) plus three (3) passes in relevant elective subjects

HND Applicants with HND in the relevant programme area will start at level 300.

ADVANCED LEVEL holders must have credit in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English and Mathematics, plus at least two passes in the subjects relevant to the programme of study.

Technical School applicants should have Passes in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.

Post-secondary teacher training certificate applicants must have Passed at the final Post–Ssecondary Teacher Training Examination plus five passes at the GCE O’Level/SSSCE/WASSCE including English and Mathematics.

Matured applicants must be at least 25 years old with at least 2 years of relevant industrial experience. They must also pass a written examination and show proof of date of birth with any national document.

The Technical University also runs Craft programmes of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education Training (CTVET) at the Certificate II and Advanced levels. Entry Requirements: SSSCE/WASSCE and JHS certificates. The programmes are:

The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education Training (CTVET) has designed an access programme for Technical/Vocational Institute graduates into HND programmes. CTVET will conduct a final external examination after which successful applicants shall proceed to enroll in the following HND programmes:
