  1. University of Ghana (UG)

 As one of Ghana’s oldest and most prestigious universities, the University of Ghana offers numerous professional courses, including Medicine, Law, Business Administration, and Social Work.

To read Law, applicants need a good pass in WASSCE with core subjects including English, Mathematics, and Science, alongside A-Level or equivalent qualifications in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The duration of the Medicine program is six years.

The law requires similar academic qualifications, typically needing passes in English and other relevant subjects, with a duration of four years. Business Administration offers specializations in areas like Accounting and Marketing, requiring passes in WASSCE with a minimum of credits in relevant subjects, with a duration of four years.

2. Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)

Known for its emphasis on science and technology, KNUST offers professional courses such as Engineering, Pharmacy, and Architecture. 3. University of Cape Coast (UCC)

UCC is recognized for its programs in Education, Business, and Agriculture. For its Bachelor of Education programs, entry typically requires WASSCE with credits in relevant subjects and lasts for four years. The Bachelor of Business Administration requires similar qualifications, also with a four-year duration.

There is a professional training component in the pursuit of academic programmes at the College of Distance Education (CoDE). The two forms of professional training are Teaching Practice and Attachment to Business/ Industry.

The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) at the Centre for Coastal Management, UCC seeks to support the development of the technical and scientific capacity of young African professionals to advance integrated solutions in addressing coastal degradation through short- to long-term professional and academic training programmes. The primary focus of the ACECoR is capacity building for the advancement of sustainable use and management of marine and coastal assets in the partner countries.       12. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport

        The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport International offers international professional qualifications since 1926 in logistics and transport at three levels – The Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma.

        Courses are delivered locally by accredited training providers. The Institute’s headquarters in London awards the certificates and diplomas for the international courses, U.K. Candidates who successfully pass the examinations, and subject to meeting qualifying experience criteria, may be awarded post designatory letters for member (MILT) and Chartered Member (CMILT).

         Professional qualifications at both certificate and diploma levels offer supervisors and line managers a thorough and basic knowledge of logistics and transport management at the certificate level. The diploma is intended for middle managers and for those in, or aspiring to, senior management positions.
