How to Apply for Nursing Training Admission 2025/2026
1. Purchase an Application Voucher
Applicants must obtain an admission voucher, priced at GHS 150.00, from any branch of GCB Bank or Agricultural Development Bank (ADB). Each voucher provides a unique Serial Number and PIN, which are essential for the online application process.
2. Access the Online Application Portal
Visit the official Health Training Institutions portal at healthtraining.gov.gh. Click on the “Apply” button and enter the Serial Number and PIN from your voucher to begin the application.
3. Complete the Application Form
Fill out the online application form with accurate personal and educational information. Ensure that all details, such as your name, date of birth, and academic qualifications, are correctly entered.
4. Upload Required Documents
Applicants are required to upload the following documents:
- A recent passport-sized photograph
- Certified copies of academic certificates or results slips
- Any other relevant documents as specified in the application guidelines
5. Submit the Application
After completing the form and uploading all necessary documents, submit the application online. It is advisable to print a copy of the completed application form for your records.
6. Monitor Application Status
Applicants can track the status of their applications by logging into the healthtraining.gov.gh portal using their Serial Number and PIN. Regularly check for updates regarding interview schedules and admission decisions.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the nursing training programs, applicants must:
- Be Ghanaian citizens aged 18 years or above
- Possess a minimum of A1-C6 in three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science
- Have at least A1-C6 in three relevant elective subjects, depending on the specific program applied for
- Applications are open to general science, general arts, agriculture and home economics students.

- Technical Officer (Community Health – Disease Control & Surveillance Option)
Each program has specific entry requirements and cut-off points. For instance, programs like BSc. Community Mental Health, Registered Midwifery, and Environmental Health have a cut-off point of Aggregate 36.
