As of the current academic year, Adisadel enrols around 4,200 boys aged 15 to 20. The student body represents nearly all regions of Ghana, and a small number of day students commute from nearby communities.
A teaching staff that is subject specialists maintains an average student-to-teacher ratio of roughly 15 to 1. Support staff, including matrons, kitchen personnel, and groundskeepers, help ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Campus

The main administration block and chapel date back to the early 20th century, featuring red roofs and arched colonnades.

Boarding houses
Adisadel is organised into eight boarding houses, each named after important Anglican figures or past headmasters.
Houses such as Hamlyn, Guggisberg, Rawlings, and Mensah-Sarbah accommodate 200–300 students each, with a housemaster, matrons, and senior prefects overseeing welfare and discipline. Daily routines include morning devotion, study periods, and house meetings.
Inter-house competitions in sports, academics, and cultural displays foster camaraderie and healthy rivalry.
School uniform
The Adisadel uniform consists of a white short-sleeved shirt bearing the school crest and a pair of grey trousers. Junior students wear grey shorts instead of trousers. On formal occasions, boarders don a striped tie in school colours—maroon, green, and gold—and a grey blazer for seniors.
Black lace-up shoes and grey socks complete the attire. Hair is kept neatly trimmed, and jewellery is limited to a wristwatch and a simple ring.
Courses offered
Adisadel follows the national curriculum, leading to the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Students choose from four main tracks: general science, general arts, business, and visual arts.
The science track includes elective mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. Arts students study literature in English, history, economics, government, and geography. Business pupils take accounting, economics, business management, and elective mathematics.
The visual arts encompass painting, sculpture, graphic design, and art history. All students also take core subjects such as English language, Ghanaian language, mathematics, and religious and moral education.
Alumni
The Old Boys Association of Adisadel is one of the most active alumni networks in Ghana, funding scholarships, infrastructure projects, and mentorship programs. The school chapel remains central to campus life, hosting weekly services, retreats, and pastoral counselling.
A strong guidance and counselling unit supports career planning and personal development, while a school radio station offers students hands-on broadcasting experience.
